Flights over - November 26 & 27
November 26th
Driver picked us up early and off we went to the airport. We saw a rainbow during the trip so that is good sign. 15 minutes from dropping bags to arriving in the lounge, the gods were smiling on us.
Spent a lovely afternoon in the Signature lounge at Air Canada. Drinking 13th street bubbly and eating great food. I know airport food can’t be good but this was!
Waiting for our flight and hoping to be able to get a bit of sleep.
Excited about waking up in Europe.
Thanks to all who made votes for the “how much can Susan buy” contest, Bob has discovered that they have beer steins in the markets so is trying to claim back some luggage space for his stash.
Landed in Frankfurt dark and early. Made it to our gate after a bus ride and going through customs. We have a short wait until we board our flight to Prague. This is a huge airport lucky they have friendly staff all over helping you to navigate.
Made it to Prague and meet the AMA rep, they put us in a van and the driver brought us to the hotel. I normally have a good sense of direction but I have no idea where we are, although they say we are in the heart of old town. After all this travel both Bob and I needed a power nap so we have just woken up and are heading out to walk the streets around where the hotel is, Bob might get a beer. Don’t worry I have a navigation app on my phone so we can’t get lost. Back at hotel for 6pm drinks and orientation from Ama telling us of our adventures over the next few days here.

2024 Iconic Christmas Markets
7NIGHT CRUISE WITH 3 NIGHTS PRAGUE PRECRUISE
Travel back through centuries as you walk along cobblestone streets through grand cities and historic towns bedecked with twinkling Christmas trees and lined with wooden huts gleaming with handcrafted treasures. Iconic Christmas markets are plentiful and are on full display for your pleasure. Nuremberg’s festive Christkindlesmarkt, the largest and oldest Christmas market in Germany; Regensburg’s Christmas market at Thurn and Taxis Castle, considered one of Bavaria’s most beautiful and romantic; Vienna with its impressive Christmas markets that seem to majestically appear around every corner; and Budapest’s Vörösmarty Square, where products sold in the market are traditionally handmade are yours to explore. Sparkling lights; the festive sounds of children dressed as angels singing carols; enticing smells of hotmulled wine, roasted chestnuts, sausages and sweet treats of every kind; and timeless wonders are a feast for all your senses.

Glad you encountered different staff in Frankfurt airport than we ever have -- in my book it's the 2nd worst airport in the world. I admit that this time, after about an hour of fruitless seeking we did find one staff member who actually seemed to know the answer to our question and gave us nearly accurate directions to the lounge we were seeking. Close enough that we found it, anyway.
